Just wondering if anyone could point me towards a product or hack to facilitate the fitting of a carrier or pannier rack to a road bike?
A road bike that doesn't have any dedicated eyelets or luggage-fitting concessions.

    Here you go...
    Tubus Cosmo Rack.
    Tubus QR Adaptors.
    Tubus Seatstay Clamps.

Not the cheapest but very good kit. I have the Cosmo rack and it's great. The pannier rails mean you can carry plenty on top without panniers interfering.

It's carbon and expensive, what every cyclist wants,

But to be fair it does look pretty good

Have one looks good works well but not cheap if OP is just interested in carrying stuff to and from work then ortleib do a decent bikepacking bag which attaches to saddle will accommodate work clothes if you rol them up carefully.
