    Does anyone know how much a doctor gets from the state for a medical card patient ?

    Depends on the age of the patient but ranges from about €43 to €130 for a year.
    Full list is in the PCRS annual report on the HSE website.

    Do GPs get a fee per visit from medical card patients, or is it a one set fee regardless of how many times they call to their GP? Just curious.

    One set fee. Although if the medical card holder had to make a small contribution for the visit I would say the amount of times they call to their GP would lessen significantly.
