Hi all, The AutoSave Draft feature is now disabled across the site. The decision to disable the feature was made via a poll last year. The delay in putting it in place was due to a bug/update issue. This should serve as a reminder to manually save your drafts if you wish to keep them. Thanks, The Boards Team.

RIP Aretha Franklin, a soul legend in our time, you'll be having duets now with Etta James and Nina Simone.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

I don't think that there is anybody out there that hasn't tapped their toe to an Aretha number at some point in their life.
Such a voice, such a presence.

I was watching some of her live performances on Youtube just to remind me of the wonderful talent of Aretha Franklin. She is a great loss to the music world (not just soul music). She has been much imitated by others but no-one could emulate her style.
