Really not trying to be smart but could you not upgrade to another budget 2018 phone? They would be much better equipped than a 2 year old J3, even back then it wasn't a great phone.

Try a standard 64gb/3-4GB RAM phone with a half decent processor for 2-300 euro.

You need to uninstall some of your big apps.
The phone has 8gb total. At least half this. Is taken by OS.
On my phone. Facebook app alone is using 750mb.or .75% of 1 GB.

Thanks for the replies Folks and yes Rizzee I would love to upgrade but thats not feasible at the Moment am afraid. Deckie yeh think I will try that and dont use Fbook and Disabled the app. but still notice its collecting data which is odd.... But whats confusing me is the same thing happened a couple of weeks ago and after doing all in my last post the Memory went down to 77% which is the lowest it was Ever.... ? Also read on another website that Rooting my phone maybe the way to go but I am unsure what this entails and could it be harmful to the device?Sorry for the questions but its just fustrating Thanks again.... M.

If not using the Facebook app uninstall it

Even if you try to uninstall facebook, it will only revert to the factory version as it is probably bundled with the phone. So you wont get rid of it completely. Most apps default to the phone storage when updating, so you will constantly have storage issues as the more they update the bigger space they need.

Rooting is not "harmful" - if done incorrectly it can cause problems. Even if you were to root your phone it wont solve the issue as you have still only 8gb of storage which even for that phone is very small. It is likely that the phone software itself is taking up the bulk of this, coupled with the factory installed apps - like facebook and any Samsung apps - you will constantly need to keep uninstalling apps to factory state to regain some space.

Go into settings and apps and go through them one by one to see if you can move any to the SD card. This is the only way to gain any space. It may be that Samsung have closed off this option. But try anyway.

Thanks GBX I have removed some more Apps and transfered what I can over to the SD card....
When I did this Two days ago the memory error spiked to 97% and stayed that way till this morning when I checked Memory status again and the memory is now at 71% the lowest it has ever been which is fantastic but I just cant understand why it took so long to correct its self very odd indeed.....

Found the culprit - Whatsapp. didnt realise that Whatsapp. constantly collects data and saves it to your Memory... over 1.25Gb on my phone in 4days so you have to open the Application manager in Settings and clear the Data manually every once in a while or the Memory will constantly choke up..... but just wondering is there any way that you can stop Whatsapp. from doing this??????
