Hi, Ive been with TD Ameritrade for a few yrs now, now called interactive investor. Im happy with them and the fees etc.

I am now thinking i shouldn't have all my eggs in one basket.
Yes Dergio is common here, but unsure about leaving a portfolio of 20/30k with them.

I'm a buy and hold investor, from a few months to a few yrs.

I'm looking for another broker with similar fee structure.

    Any recommendations

Degiro is a about the best you'll get I think.

Though I don't really understand why you'd want multiple brokers, if you're happy with your current one, I'd leave everything in that.

What are you trying to achieve?

Unless you are requiring the broker to specifically hold the certs in your name, then they will be held by one of the nominees and most case it will be the same one regardless of which broker you go with.

And regardless of the brokerage of the nominee getting into difficult you will eventually recover your positions, although it will take time no matter what you do.
