A question about using graphs

If I plot energy consumption, in kW, on the Y axis against time, in hours ,on the X axis, does the area under the graph give me kWh
    eg:
from 00:00 to 01:00 say kW reading is 1
from 01:00 to 02:00 say kW reading is 2
and so on for a 24h period
For the numbers above is kWh for first two hour 3?

    Thanks as always

Correct. The area will be the total energy used over that time period.

Yep, just like the area under a graph of speed (y) vs. time (x) will give you distance.
