I see some 2009 toyota avensis for sale and quoting Euro 750 car tax, other 2009 avensis quote Euro 390.
Is there one site that gives the road tax of all makes and models?

    Thanks in advance

    S

I don't know if there is one site for Ireland. Normally what I do is use something like Parkers to check emission levels and then check on the motortax site

Put the car's reg into the motor tax website and it will tell you the tax rate.

Regarding the Avensis, there was a new model launched in 2009 so there were both old and new models sold in that year. The petrol old models had high emissions so even the 1.6 cost €750 to tax. The old model diesel cost €390. The new model had lower emissions with the petrol versions costing €390 and the diesel versions costing €280.

Motortax.ie. Put in the reg and it will tell you.

There are probably UK import Avensii with higher CO2 than the Irish one. Ran into that problem when buying a Verso with the same engine.

€750 would be the old 2003-2009 petrol model on emissions tax.

If you know the reg, put it into the above link and it'll tell you the cost of the tax
