If you have an adult dependent on the policy (like your partner) make sure that both of you sign up for online delivery and than the main policy holder claims because that way you can get 150€ as they give you additional 50€ for each adult dependent on the policy.

    Unfortunately not

Vhi Online Advantage: Terms and Conditions

Vhi policyholders can claim €50 for choosing to sign up to online documentation (register on MyVhi and follow the instructions).

Vhi policyholders can claim an additional €50 for each insured adult dependant (adult dependants are required to register on MyVhi and follow the instructions). An adult dependant is a person over 18 years of age on the date of registering on MyVhi for online documentation.

Vhi policyholders can also claim another €50 per policy if they choose to sign up to automated payments including Direct Debit , salary deduction, or subsidy through their Group Scheme (log onto MyVhi and follow the Direct Debit instructions).

Policyholders/adult dependants must have a valid health insurance policy in force on 1st September 2018

Excluded from this offer are Vhi MultiTrip, Vhi Dental, Vhi International, Vhi Healthsteps, Vhi Health Cash Plans, Plan P and Vhi Life policies.

Policyholders should ensure that they satisfy these terms and conditions before the closing date, 1st September 2018.

Online Advantage payments will only be made to the policyholder. Payments will be made to the bank account registered on the policyholders' MyVhi account. Cheque payments may be made where no bank account details have been provided. Payment will take place after the closing date, 1st September 2018.

These are once-off incentive payments and are not claimable each year and are the maximum amounts that we will pay the policyholder for each incentive.

Vhi reserve the right to extend the terms of this offer, including the closing date without further notice.

Normal Policy Terms & Conditions apply.

    No cash equivalent.

If you're on a VHI policy that expires in Jan and you paid fully upfront can you qualify for this refund?

Yes - you should be able to login to your VHI account regardless of who pays and then set the payment to go to your bank account.

Yes that’s counted as paying by direct debit so make sure you log in to make sure you have the 3 green ticks to be eligible for the money.

Even though the offer deadline has been extended payments will be made in early September to anyone who has claimed the reward including specifying the account they want paid to. If people haven’t specified an account it will be later and may be October depending on banks etc

When i went back into the VHI web site, i have 2 green ticks & bank details was not in green.
We had put in our bank details ect... & the site says only enter your bank details once.

Should i just go back in and put my bank details back in, and see if the tick will turn green?

I'd recommend contacting the VHI helpline

Claiming the cash back for the direct debit and policy holder was straightforward but the "adult dependents" on the policy are having to go through hoops for their 50 quid and have given up! Misleading error messages from the vhi website, emails back and forth, and lastly, after lots of wasted time online, a message to ring the vhi. Quite frankly not worth the effort. If their online systems are so difficult and error prone it does not inspire confidence in their ability to deliver online documentation in a timely and meaningful fashion.
