    Hi everybody,

I am looking for a (big) downloadable list of IP Addresses for Ireland.

I have found something on a site called tracemyIp but was wondering if there is anything more reliable/official etc?

    Cheers,

    Hofstadter

OP I'm really not going to help you because anyone that thinks they need that information should be able to use google - it took me all of 20 seconds to find the bulk of the IP addresses for Ireland (Edit found a total of 6,085,888 addresses).

    Apologies Wanderer78,

I'm playing around with data viz software at the moment and was looking for a large dataset to 'play' with..alongside an interest in internet/www networks topologies etc.

    Hi my3cents,

Thanks for the reply and fair comment etc. I have been googling the same. I found one site that would allow me do this and which supplies the ISPs etc. that own the IP addresses, however, it only lets me access 15 pages per day

I am specifically looking for a list that also supplies ISPs that I can download as .csv,.xlsx foremat.

    Thanks again.

I'll give you a hint - you are searching for the wrong thing. Both the main selections I found straight off offered csv files.

I'm actually up to 11 million from two sites but less than half that are named ISP.

Think of what the technical terms for what you are searching for, how the IP addresses are given out, what complete groups of them are called and what the smaller units are sometimes called ;) Its all down to the jargon.

    my3cents, you're killing me!

But thanks for the reply...I'll get to work on it now!

ip address ranges assigned to ireland

you can also try adding csv to the search

    http://www.nirsoft.net/countryip/ie_owner.html

https://lite.ip2location.com/ireland-ip-address-ranges you need to sign up to get their db or copy and paste the webpage data to a text file save it and open it in Excel and "import" the text file which is tab delimited and then save as a csv.

That comment doesn't full sense to me. You could easily generate a dataset based on the schema of an IP address and create as many as you need, randomized and all.

Why does it need to be Irish IPs specifically ?

Fair question Reati, I am interested in looking specifically at the role of ICTS etc within an Irish context...

Thanks my3cents, yes I had found both those two sites previously.

Nirsoft, although useful, I thought that the data might be old?

IP2Location is great, I guess I was hoping to find something that would actually list the entire ranges so that I could import them all into something like gephi (possibly a bit too ambitious on my part!)

Actually, thinking about it now...Am I right to assume that if I do a whois search on each these ranges it will return the same company as in

31.200.128.0 - 31.200.191.255 and everything in between are all owned by Three.

If so and I do the same with entire list, I will be able to 'tell' who owns which/most etc.

    Thanks again!
