    Hi all,

Anyone know where you can find some hard facts on people’s food choices over the past few years?

I’m thinking the likes of CSO or EuroStat maybe.

I see loads of people trying to build a market for beef, lamb, and even milk by selling their natural, sustainable, ecological story.

It sounds great and we buy local and wholesome here for the family. We should all be doing it and I’m not saying all other farms are doing something wrong for a second. I’m a bog-standard sheep farmer myself.

I’m just wondering how much of a market is there for such story-based produce? Especially when you see the gap closing between dairy-beef and the traditional higher end of beef?

Are such niche markets likely to grow or will they remain niche?
