Rescheduling for a test less than 10 days notice

Hi everyone new here, been driving for a year and booked a test since feb, done all lessons etc.

Just cancelled a test date on early week of july as i felt I wasn’t ready now coming end of August slightly feel the same.

My insurance is up end of September and license end of September too. I will be leaving the country 10 th of September for work won’t be back till October due to the nature of my job.

I was hoping that when I cancelled i’d get a date in 10 weeks which isn’t the case. I’m wondering can i ring up rsa and see whats the waiting list like before committing? I’d prefer a date with notice of atleast a week nothing less but i’m feeling nervous not knowing what to expect when i ring them.

Would appreciate people who’ve been through it before! Thank you!!

I'm in a similar scenario. They wouldn't have it with me, so I went on the cancellation list. I got around a month's notice in the end but I didn't get a cancellation. To get a cancellation date you need to ring them.

Unsure of your question though, are you looking to do the test now or cancel another date???

Looking to do it soon, should i ring them soon or wait till next week?
I’m afraid I won’t get a test date before 10th of September and i’ll lose my test fee as well as my insurance and license will be wasted.

Ring them. If you don't like any of the dates they have you don't have to accept them. You can ring again each day and see if there's any new cancellations to suit you.

Like said, you need to ring asap. And get yourself into the mindset that you are doing your test in a week. Practise as such as well if you can. There is a chance you will get a date on short notice and you shouldn't be afraid of that, in fact it is what you need given your time constraints.
