Arm numb after cat lick

Within 15 minutes of a cat licking my forearm last night, I started to lose some sensation in the forearm just below the wrist (from/palm side of the arm). I still have feeling there but it's just less sensitive when I touch it than normal, my hand is fine. I'm assuming this is an allergic reaction as the symptom appeared so quickly. It's a bit better this morning.

Has anyone heard of this type of reaction? Can't find it from an internet search.

sounds like a muscle got compressed. Please get it checked though?

The closest conditions I could find were to do with a nerve injury; Ulnar or Median. Which, as you wrote, could be caused by compression.

It's almost completely back to normal, so I may leave it, as long as it's fully better by tomorrow morning.
