Got offered a a6 2012 with all the possible extras but 300000 miles
It has full audi service, and done mostly motorway miles.
I know the owner and he's put the miles on it.

    Getting it at a €3k

Would ya be a fool to buy?
Suppose if it does go bang it's worth that in parts?

It's only a bargain if you need it!

€3k is very cheap for a 2012, theyre worth €12-15k with average mileage, soworth the gamble, just budget the same again for inevitable repairs and you’re still getting it half the price of a cheap one.

Why is the owner parting with it now given it's not worth much, surely it would make more sense for them to just drive it into the ground at this stage unless they know there are big bills on the horizon? 3k is not a huge amount for it but it's really a gamble that could go either way.

Ask for test drive for day....bring in Audi and ask for repair report

Or ask him for report from last Audi service. They hand him a recommendation for what needs to be done or what is about to go.....

With my A6, I got the last service done and they gave me report. It had over 4k worth of parts to repair. Now you could get done in a garage for a lot less but might be worth knowing what needs to be done

Dont mind the mileage. Mine had under 100k and had those repairs to be done. I have seen huge mileage ones in UK and they run as good as new once they are kept serviced well
