Laptop recommendation

    Hey guys,
I need a new laptop to replace my old one which just isn't fit for purpose.
I wouldn't be the most tech savvy so RAM and CPU I wouldnt know much about.
I need a laptop mainly for photo editing and for day to day things like word documents but mainly editing.
Gaming laptops have been recommended to me as they apparently have the specs I need but I wouldn't know. Hopefully you guys can push me in the right direction.
My budget is about €900 at most and I'd like it to be able to put up with a lot of use (up to 12 hours a day) and a long enough battery life for when I'm travelling up to 4 hours round trip for photography jobs. Ideally I'd like it to be slim and light but if that's not possible its alright it wouldn't be my main concern.
I realise I'm probably asking an awful lot so I appreciate any advice you guys would have.

    Many thanks
    Shpud.
