Two satellite feeds from Croke Park. Good signals with me. I think Sky boxes can't add them as channels, because of the non standard Symbol Rate 7120.

    Eutelsat 28A (28.2°E)

    Frequency: 12626 - Pol: H - SR: 7120 - FEC: NC

    Category: Sport - Autres

    Transmitted in: MPEG-4

    Comments: Gaelic Games/Hurling(+12635h,7120)

Excellent. Have they dropped the 422 ? Can't see that lasting long on 28.2e.

1920x1080. Might want to post that over on the GAA forum as the requirements are so basic

Why can you not see 4:2:2 lasting on 28.2e?

Not see 422 not being used.

422 is 10 bit h264. No retail boxes can decrypt this on the fly. You need to run it through a tbs card via a high end pc to stream. Broadcasters use high end industry decoders to feed the actual broadcast output.

Ttaditionally tg4 and rte use obscure satellites that end users don't have ie 23.5e and 0.8w.

Broadcasting in the open on 28.2e means everyone can decode it as 28.2e is the satellite used for Ireland and UK.

Tg4 don't even natively broadcast in 1920x1080. This is receivable across Europe right now unencrypted.

I'm trying to tune this on a Tiviar Alpha + and having no luck.

I only have an option for 5 digits on SR I tried both 07120 and 71200
Also in FEC there are just numerical options 1/2, 2/3 etc. No option for NC

You are looking at last week's feed parameters. See post 2 for today's.

    Engineers read boards.

    Or there was a complaint!!!!

4:2:2 looks a hell of a lot better! The picture on terrestrial RTE is pretty jumpy right now with a lot of people complaining. Is it like this on the feed?

Feed is gone. The RTE Limerick Galway feed is on the satellite at 23.5 East.

I saw the complaints about the terrestrial signal, but any time I was on Clermont Cairn it was OK.

It's the reencode for saorview. Motion all over the shop. That's going to all txs.

Eir tv must be getting a raw feed because it's not affected.

Brutal motion issues, stuttering and stalling all through the first half today, they seemed to have it sortedfor the second half though.

Saorview tweeted about the issue earlier alright. I had noticed it myself and thought it was my setup initially.
    SAORVIEW Saorview
2rn, the company that operates Saorview transmitters advise that they had a technical issue that caused problems for viewers. It was necessary to wait for a suitable point in the broadcast to resolve. Apologies for the interruption to this afternoon's coverage.
