    Hi All,

I'm buying new house in an estate. The building agreement says the contractor is responsible for connection of the electricity and gas, and I am responsible for entering into a a contract with a supplier.I need it all working before I snag it.
I called a supplier to enter into a contract and they said it will take 2/3 weeks and the network companies will be in touch. Does anybody know why they would need to get involved if it is already connected? Am I likely to get charged something buy the network companies?
