Trying to remove rocket cover - thread keeps spinning with nut

In a bit of a bind here. My rocker cover gasket is leaking and I bought a new one for what I thought would be an easy enough job on my 95 Nissan 180sx with SR20DET engine.

There are 13 10mm nuts holding my rocket cover to the head of the engine. In the process of removing them to take the cover off, 6 out of 13 of the nut are seized to the thread, and the thread spins with it for a while and comes up but eventually stops. There's a 10 mm nut welded to the base of the thread but none of them come past a certain point and hence I can't take the cover off to do a replacement.

I've tried to grip the stud (not by the thread) in order to then hold it in place and then remove the nut, but it keep slipping and I dont want to damage it.

Please can someone suggest how I can get the nuts off? I've soaked them in WD40 fast penetrating oil for about 45 minues but they are still spinning.

    Thanks!

Its is likely that the screws/studs that the nuts screw into are actually screwed into the engine casting. hence why they are turning also when you turn the nut. the screws/studs can only unscrew as much as the next closest screw/stud. So its a case of unscrewing each nut with screw/stud attached a little bit at a time until they are all off.

    Hope this helps.

A short video would be quite helpful in seeing what's going on. I'm assuming it's not as simple as each rocker cover bolt having a 'sleeve' that doesn't come out? When I replaced the rocker cover gasket on my Focus ST170, the 10 or so bolts remain in the cover after they're fully loosened, the sleeve being held in with rubber grommets.

If you could place a flat screw driver close to the gap where its located.

Between the engine and the rocket cover, as close to the nut thats turning.

Apply a bit of pressure on the screwdriver, pressing it down, as you turn the nut.

    Hope that helps.
