DVB-T tuner stuck as DVB-C Amiko/GM/SAB Clone

Hi guys - im wondering if there is a fix for this issue by way of a plugin or something in the menu system

My Clone of the above boxes (ICECRYPT S3750CHD) is continually stuck in DVB-C mode, rather than DVB-T for saorview

Whats Odd is that the E2 images i have used all function well, and recognize the tuner as being DVB-T/T2/C but all are set to DVB-C - In tuner configuration, again it shows as all 3 standards but is set to C with no option for t or t2

Can anyone advise on this?? A plugin perhaps for configuring tuners? or perhaps there is a menu im missing

So far the following Firmware have exhibited this problem
    VIX4E2Project 4+
    HDMU
    OPENPLI
    OPEN-AR

All of the above state DVB-T/T2/C and are set to C -

The Vix4E2Project is the target here, as the user interface is splended and everything DVB-S/S2 works AMAZINGLY well - recording, timeshift, EPG, etc etc - i mention the others as it is apparent the problem is the same - configuration is limited to Cable and its associated frequencies/symbol-rates

By the way the T2 Tuner works perfectly in spark - and in one firmware from E2 (limited Functionality- FYI its OPENATV 6-1)

Thanks a million - and thanks to those who sent firmware yesterday - this is my third day at this guys - i realize we are behind the times with this box, as most have upgraded - the person im setting this up for would be perfectly satisfied with this box, if we could just get the T tuner to function

Thanks again - see screen grabs for the HDMU which is my latest fail - identical config/screen/issue

    Tuner Configuration Menu

Pick Tuner module. Right Click Arrow should change it from dvb-c to dvb-t. Just give it a sec to respond.

Hi guys thanks for the reply

I have done that and there doesnt seem to be any options as you stated (and in the other post)

Providers : List of Cable providers from around the world

in tuner config, its either 'Not connected' or DVB-C

Any ideas on that extra menu available in the other thread?

hi guys - just an update

Still no joy - In tuner config

right click - simply moves the highlight to one of the DVB-S tuners

When actually clicking into the Tuner for config - no options to select DVB-T- at all

This rings a bell, definitely had this issue a few years back and need to try remember where the option is, I think it was right at the start when your setting an image up from scratch. I’m not at home at the moment but will check it out shortly. It’s not actually in tuner configuration iirc

When you go into tuner config first you should see the two tuner modules. One dvb-c one dvb-s2 (along with NIMM info)

    Select the dvb-c one.

In the first line it will say dvb-c. When you select that line you should be able to simple left or right click with the arrow button to move between the 2 modulation types as they are a hybrid tuner.

Ok guys Vix4e2 installed and No Joy on the Problem

Including Pictures to see if we can figure this - has to be something simple and i really appreciate the help - if there is a plugin with an extra menu perhaps?

Configuration Mode - Enabled <or> Nothing Connected
Network Id - 000000 - can be edited
USED SERVICE SCAN Type - Provider <or> Freq Bands <or> Freq Steps
Country - Various Countries with an option for 'All'
    Region - Regions of above
    Force Legacy Signal Stats Yes/no

If you select Freq Bands/Steps from Service scan type you get a series of options for Symbol rates etc - but these are clearly for DVB-C as far as i can tell

    Going into the menu now

Can you see 'UnionTunerType' in the Tuner configuration menu, or can you download it as a plugin?
    Alt.
"you can edit '/etc/modprobe.d/_spark7162.conf' and change line:
    options spark7162 UnionTunerType=c
where c = cable, or change to t for terrestrial."

Excellent news! I knew it was definitely in there somewhere, I remember being stumped on that myself and someone in here eventually pointed me to the right option
