Started new job, tax issue

I started a new job six weeks back, registered the new employer's details online straight away etc

Issue is, I am also registered with another company that I do very occasional freelance work for.

We're paid fortnightly in the new job, and at first I appeared to be getting Emergency Taxed.

However, what was happening was, all my tax credits were assigned to the 'part-time' gig and zero credits were assigned to my new full-time job. Hence I got taxed over 50% my first two paydays.

I have since sorted it out over the phone with Revenue. But I assumed I would automatically be refunded the earlier tax I had mistakenly paid. I have been paid today and taxed correctly - but not reimbursed for the previous taxation.

Is there a form I need to fill out? Thanks

Request a P21 balancing statement after the end of the Tax year and any taxes you have overpaid will be returned to you by direct debit from Revenue.

    Thanks Furasta

Is that my only option, to wait until the end of the Tax Year?

Unless you get a P45 from the other job, it is.
