Lied about previous jobs and have no p45 for new job I’m starting

I’m 18 and have never had a proper job before so I lied on my cv because every job lately requires experience. So a few weeks later I got a job. My training starts next week and they asked me to bring a p45 if I have one. I don’t have one and don’t know what to do. Do I need to contact revenue to let them know I’ve started working?
Any advice would be helpful. What will I say if they ask why I don’t have a p45?
    Thanks

Tell them you cannot find it and get their tax number from them and apply online for your tax credits on ros.ie, you may need to create an account on mygovid.ie first.

Tell them you lost your P45 and previous employer can't issue another one (which they can't!). Then create an account for yourself on ROS (Revenue Online Service) which will take a few days as they post a letter to your home address after you register which you need to finalise your account registration. Make sure you fill in your new employer's registered number (similar to a PPS number) and your start date and you won't be on emergency tax for more than a week or two.

apply for a p60 online or head to your tax office.you might need to go to social welfare office for their stamp as well.happened me when a pub went under and accountant that managed them shut up shop.your employer will accept the P60 as they need is your previous details on it.

    If they've never had a job before, they won't have a P60.

The employer only needs name, address and PPS number. If the OP sets themself up with a revenue account and inputs the job there, there shouldn't be any hassle on that end. The only issue could be if they want a reference from the previous employer.

    Relax
You don't need to have one, as explained above it just makes it easier for the payroll folk.
You are NOT obliged to produce it as it would show your previous earnings, something many new employees don't want to share so its not compulsory.
As pointed out, a reference will be a different issue.
Good luck with new job, and let that be the last porkie
