Do people think these are still a buy? I wouldnt trust Facebook or any of the other FANGs at the minute but Google and Amazon probably arent going anywhere and its just new ATH after new ATH day after day.

Do people think its foolish not to have them as part of your long term portfolio or are they grossly overvalued and due a correction?

I think Ive probably missed out on ~50-60% gains since the last time I asked this question... :D

I have been holding both for quite some time and think they both will continue to do well. Since I bought them they have almost doubled in value.

If I had to buy a FANG stock today I would choose Netflix. It has had a recent pull back and I can't see anyone stopping it in the foreseeable future.

If you're going to hold the shares for a long time you could do a lot worse than buying Google or Amazon, even at today's prices.

Netflix is probably a good bet but they don't have a (virtual) monopoly like Google or Amazon.
Content is a tricky business and Netflix is dependent on getting most of it from HBO, Disney etc.
Disney is setting up its own streaming biz as have / are many of the other big players in the game e.g. Amazon. Already Netflix has issues with content licencing not being renewed.
The long-term consensus in that sector seems to be that to get the good shows you want you'll have to subscribe to multiple services.

It's definitely not too late. Perhaps don't expect the same level of growth over the next decade but I could be wrong.

As for Facebook: be greedy when others are fearful. In my opinion it's a great buy at the moment.

Disney are getting into the market, even Netflix admitted they're their biggest threat. Netflix has an extremely high value, esp as their cost of accumulating customers is so high. Think it's one of the best shorts of the tech companies.

I think Disney will appeal to a different market. Aren't most of their content primarily aimed at children or superhero fans?

Whereas Netflix has great variety and their own productions are very popular.
