Altenator different

Hi folks went to change the altenator in a 07 fiesta 1.25,got a lift down to local scarppers, they had one ok,seen him take it off another 07 fiesta,brought it back,and its different,seems bit bigger than the other one,and fittings are definitely not the same,question is why are they not the same?

Well yeah, the 1.3 engine is an old 60s design and the 1.25 was designed by Yamaha so there’d probably be differences!

This happens all the time with pretty much every car part, two 07 cars same make model and engine can have different brakes, injectors, mounts, exhaust etc etc. Often there can be 6 or 7 different part variants
