Hi, I'm looking to buy an iPad, I'm torn between the Air 2 and the 2018 model. Can get an Air 2 for €220 used or a brand new 2018 model for €369. Any suggestions?

New one, no contest. Will be supported longer, you have warranty and consumer protection purchasing in Ireland.

You can also get the pencil for the 2018 iPad if you want. Best thing I ever did.

2018 model purely for pencil support, especially if you take, notes.

100% the 2018 version, have mine a few weeks now after upgrading from Mini 2.
Pencil support if you needed it and the A10 chip will easily see you through a few years

iPad Pros though? Another €150 on top of the standard 9.7 inch iPad

Budget doesn’t stretch that far unfortunately :). Gonna wait until September to get an IPhone, price usually drops on older models. Off topic but when’s the September keynote does anybody know.

There will be a refresh of the pro with faceID and a spec bump on the iPad. Tis referenced in the iOS 12 beta code.

I have an Air2 and I bought the Mrs a 2018 one not so long ago. I would definitely recommend the 2018 model. It's significantly quicker, especially when it comes to installing/updating Apps since the chip in the 2018 has a dedicated chip for all the install/updating stuff, whereas the Air2 does not. Plus, it's what nearly 3 years old now?
