Help! 6 month old Sony TV - horrible white dots on screen???

TV is a Sony Android 49 inch 4K - Has been perfect in fairness and was very happy with it.
About 2 weeks ago I noticed 2 white dots, or more accurately 2 points on the screen that were actually shining light outwards towards the viewer.
    - Its going to be hard to describe on here but if the image on screen is any way dark you have these little dots twinkling at you and it really does catch the eye and for me it completely destroys the image quality and the experience is less 4k and more disappointment and angst :(

I've no idea what caused them but I am so disappointed that they are there and really ruin any use of this TV for me now. I used to sit relatively close and play PS4 enjoying the image quality and sharpness...

I'm posting on here wondering if this is a known issue? To me an €800 TV shouldn't be developing these flaws after 6 months.

I wonder if something or some coating 'blew' on the screen itself? I'm not aware of anything hitting the screen, ie kids etc but even if so every other TV screen in the house has minor scuffs and scratches (some bought 2nd hand on Done Deal etc) but none of them has any visible blemish whatsoever when the screen is actually on and in use.

Ideally I'd love to return it but don't think I've much hope there unless this is a concrete known issue with Sony?

Hoping someone has some help or advice for me & thanks for reading.

It sounds as though you've got stuck/dead pixels - if you google the model of your TV for this issue you might discover if others have had the same issue.

Most TV manufacturers have an acceptable level of dead/stuck pixels - this link https://community.sony.ie/t5/pcs-accessories/dead-pixel-warranty/td-p/17256 has info about Sony but the User Manual for your TV should tell you. If it's a real problem for you I'd try talking about a replacement with whoever you bought it from and see what they say.
