    Possibly, it's impossible to say with the current info.
    Check with a local mechanic.

    Timing belts don't rattle as they are made of rubber.

    Assuming it's a petrol Corsa then yes they have a timing chain and they are known for stretching on Corsas which causes them to rattle. You would need to have the car looked at by a mechanic but if it is the chain then it will need to be replaced as if it comes off it's teeth then you will be looking at a bigger repair bill.
