Date of valuation for inheritance tax

Does anyone know when the date for inheritance tax is. Is it the date of probate or the date of death. It relates to business properties and monies in bank a/cs. Alot is covered by the business asset relief scheme but for what is not or exceeds thresholds.

The date of death is normally the date of the inheritance.

Generally, the date of probate is the valuation date.
