It lost alot of support after giving in to bump stock legislation, the Americans saw it as a massive betrayal as they dont like giving into any anti gun laws

Nothing to do with going financially broke. It is because of the anti-gun dictator in NY Gov Cumouo pushing insurance companies and banking to cut ties with doing business with the NRA in NY

For the swop of nationwide concealed carry recopicirty laws and silencers coming off NFA legislation?? The bump stocks are still for sale,albeit at now ban crazy prices, and its impossible to trace them as well. Plus with 3D printing, they are easily made. How bad?

Anything i have read about the bump stocks made them out to be little more than novelties, in the same mould as those drum magazine for ruger 10/22's. Fun to pick one up cheap, have a mess with once or twice and thats about it. But of little actual practical use.

There is nothing you can do with a bump stock that you cant do with a normal stocked gun if you know how.:)
