Does anyone know if it's possible to get the above in Ireland?
    (For personal storage, not commercial).

Some self storage places offers insurance, yet only covering fire, floods etc, not theft.
Theft is a low risk, but still a risk nonetheless.

I see it's available in the UK, e.g. from a company called surewise, at a good price too. But no offering here, that i know of.
Or would a home insurance provider offer such a service?

If not, how low is the risk? Do storage depots get pilfered in Ireland?

We used ustoreit for 10 weeks (75sqfoot) while renovating. We took no extra insurance but it was totally safe and secure for us. It was always quiet when we visited and both signing up and closing it out were hassle free. They also offered insurance if we wanted but we didn't take it.

The facility seemed very secure to us.

Some storage providers don't offer any form of insurance. 123.ie don't either. Definitely a gap in the market.
