Bought second hand mower, got tool store to replace transmission belt and clean the carb etc.. 229euro cost :( Brought it home, burning rubber smell on first cut and now brakes won't work. Have to put jump leads on it to get it started. Can cut out when under pressure. Bought new battery thinking it needs one because of…

Have to put jump leads on it to get it started. Can cut out when under pressure.

Bought new battery thinking it needs one because of the having to put leads on it but nothing. Won't start with new battery. Do these have an altonator? If not, what else could it be.
