Ok, so ever since i was young, from when i watched Jaws, i have always been intrigued and would jump at the chance to watch movies which centered around humans being hunted or fighting against Dangerous wild predators/animals.

Has anybody got any movie recommendations that fit this description?

Doesnt matter if its silly non sense, like deep blue sea for example. And it doesnt need to be the focal point of the entire movie, but more than just a quick scene thats over after a couple of seconds. And i wouldnt be interested in low budget B movies, but feel free to throw them into the mix if you feel they deserve a watch, but please highlight if they are low budget.

I'll compile a list of movies ive seen over the years, so if you can, jump in with whats missing.. Any in bold are worth a watch in my opinion.

    Jaws 1,2 and 3 (shark)
    Anaconda (Ananconda :D)
    Lake placid (Crocodile)
    Arachnophobia (Spiders)
    The Edge (Bear)
    The Grey (Wolves)
    The Shallows (Shark)
The ghost and the darkness (Lions)
    Backcountry (Bear)
    Open water (Sharks)
    The reef (shark)
    Rogue (Crocodile)
    Black water (Croc)
    47 meters down (sharks)

Similar movies but mutated/extinct or made up animals

    Deep blue sea (Enhanced sharks)
    Tremors (giant killer worms)
The host aka Gwoemul (amphibious monster)
    Jurassic park movies (Dinosaurs)

Thats all thats coming to mind so far, also feel free to throw in any TV show recommendations also, theres actually a show which started this year, that ive yet to see but am looking forward to, its called The Terror.

Cujo is one. Also you have a new Lake placid film coming out this year.

Finally Jason Statham versus a giant shark in the Meg, this month.

Is cujo good? The idea of a St Bernard going on a killing spree doesnt sound too appealing.

Theres loads of lake placid movies, they are all B-movie tripe by the look of it after the first :(

It appears most natural horror movies these days are B-movies, sadly :(

Fair point. Cujo isn't that bad. Alternatively you could try Prey (2007) which has a lion instead. Admittedly it's quite dire.

Piranha , 2010 remake. A big budget remake that keeps its b-movie heart. Plenty of gore and nudity. Jerry O Connell, Elizabeth Shue and Ving Rhames star . Cameos by Christopher Lloyd and Kelly Brook

White God - Arty Romanian film about stray dogs that go on a rampage after escaping from the pound.

    The next few are b movies;

White Dog - made to cash in on Jaws with the producer asking for "Jaws with paws" but instead he got a commentary on racism. A white German Shepard is adopted from the pound but stars going on a killing spree targeting only balck people

Razorback - Australian movie about a killer boar in the outback.

Wild Beasts - Animals start going nuts in Berlin. Italian produced movie from the infamous director of Mondo Cane. Real exploitative featuring real animal killings so not for everyone.

Squirm - Killer worms remember it was pretty ok .

Slugs - Great b movie with some good gore. Based on a James Herbert novel.

Black Sheep - definitely a b movie, it's a bit ropey but I enjoyed it.

    Black Sheep is terrific, another
New Zealand genre classic. My nomination is Alligator 1980 directed by Lewis Teague.

slightly off topic, but you are looking at B-movies featuring animals so how about:

    Beastmaster

    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083630/

Think of it as Conan the Barbarian, but if Conan could communicate with animals

Or how about a documentary, Blackfish:

    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2545118/

Definitely a case of when animals attack

Long Weekend, an Australian film from the 70’s about a couple who disrespect nature on a camping trip and nature fights back.
    Very atmospheric, slightly disturbing film.

It was written by Everett De Roche who also wrote Razorback.
