    Yes, I think it’s a bit too far ahead if you don’t have another trial much nearer the time.

    I think it’s sensible to try out make-up artists well in advance to narrow down your choices but you need to have a trial ideally within a month of your wedding as your skin might be a different shade in the summer to winter and more or less dry depending on the time of year. You need to be sure that the products chosen work well with your skin type and will last throughout the day/evening. For instance, a lightweight summer foundation might not provide adequate coverage for autumn/winter.
