I think Dublin is the worst* and the best at the same time.

*Only because of all the culchies that visit.

Mayo is tops.. It was when I first arrived in Ireland nearly 2 decades ago and I have since lived in several other counties and happy to be back home in West Mayo.. West and North Mayo are wonderful..

But which of these is the bestest???

    Best- Mayo, Wicklow, Galway

Worst- Limerick- just find it very dull and grim really especially West Limerick. Parts of Tipperary are similar but better scenery.

Anyone who lists one of the counties with a decent amount of coast is as the worst wrong.

Worst county has gotta be a midlands county, and it's probably Longford or Offaly. Very few redeeming features.

Best is subjective enough. For me it's Dublin, Cork or Kerry.

Dublin would also be a whole lot better without ignorant prejudiced Dubliners who refers to others as "culchies".

Cork is without doubt the best.Huge beautiful county. You could live and go on holidays there it is that big.It has everything.Good job opportunities.Prices relatively ok.All the rich and famous pick Cork for a reason when choosing to live in Ireland.

I don't know if it's the worst but I feel sorry for people living in Dublin.Overcrowded, overpriced etc.

I suspect there's going to be a bias towards whichever county you happen to be from so its pointless even asking something like this in fairness.

Leitrim, we have the best coast. The very best.

Dublin is both the best (if you can afford to live there) and the worst (if you can just about afford to live there, but are being crippled by stupid rental prices).

Kerry is most beautiful county in Ireland and I'm from Cork. Cork is getting little overcrowded but still decent and not far away from anything.

Carlow and Longford for worst. A earthquake would do both a favour

Carlow? Seriously? Lovely county, beautiful rolling countryside and the breadbasket of Ireland. It gets a bad rap as its not a tourist hot spot and is overshadowed by Kilkenny, Wicklow and Wexford next door.

Parts of co Cork are very drab. I'm thinking north Cork in particular and some of the towns are woeful. The likes of Youghal, Mallow and Mitchelstown are not far above kips.
Best parts are of course around the city and onto west cork but much of it isn't the utopia you describe.

    Best: Dublin
    Worst Dublin.

I am from Galway. I think the best are:

    Kerry
    Wicklow
West Clare, West Mayo and Connemara are beautiful.
I have heard Fermanagh around Lough Erne is lovely but never been there.

    Worst County:

    Derry
