I’d like to get a friend a bottle of brandy as a gift, budget would be around the €50 mark, any suggestions as I’ve no clue about brandy :) thanks in advance

How about a bottle of calvados?

It's a really nice apple brandy.

Should be able to pick one up in celtic whiskey shop/drikstore etc depending where your based

Haven't tasted it myself, but your friend might appreciate an Irish apple brandy, also in CWS:
