PC Virus Removal

    Any recommend somewhere that checks and removes viruses? I have antivirus, but I'd like to get it checked out all the same, almost like a general 'check-up'. I've checked out some places online and read reviews, like Techstar, but wondered whether anyone here recommended someone highly that doesn't mess you around or anything. Anywhere in/around the city/Castletroy/Raheen area. Cheers.

    Really sorry that I've no recommendations and am jumping in on this, but have you considered doing the security audit yourself using a "live cd". Quite easy (and cheaper!).

    I'd recommmend Avira Rescue.

    1. download the .iso file.
    2. use rufus to "burn" it to a live usb.
    3. reboot your machine and select usb when booting back up.
    4. follow the instructions on the manual (provided on the link above).
    4a. the user manual also details step by step instructions just in case!
