My brother has had an issue with his Nibe 1220 Heat Pump.

Called out an Engineer who charged a total of €205 and it's still not fixed. And if he comes again its another €100 would that be normal cost ...we in the Galway area.

There's a capacitor gone on one of the pumps. It's the pump that pumps the water in the pipe going around the field.
He got it going by twisting the propeller with a screwdriver. Once it's going it's ok. He has that pump set to wait running for 10 days. Could be back to square one after that then.

A capacitor is about €20. Engineer thinks he'll be able to put it in myself in about 20 minutes.

Option 2 is to replace the motor head. He has one so that would be €100 for the part and €100 for him to put it in.

Option 3 is to buy a new pump which will cost €500 and then pay him to put it in. He hopes it won't come to that.

    Any advice...comments.
