Where do fellow drummers play?

    Hello all,

I recently moved to Galway and I want to start playing drums again. I live in what seems to be a very popular Irish house type where i have another 3 or 4 attached next to mine. So that means that my living room for example is right next to the other persons living room etc.

Now my question is, what are the rules for playing acoustic drums in an attached unit as described above? Of course the contract does not mention anything specific for instruments. I have a very expensive and large acoustic kit and i do not want to resort to playing on an electronic one plus I cant afford a new good electronic like Roland TD-30K.

Fellow drummers, where do you play?

Thank you all for your help.
    Georgios

    Hi Georgios,

In Galway, there is a fantastic facility called Raven Studio, where you can play on an hourly rate. It's located in the Liosban estate and is run by Syzmon. He is a great player himself and will look after you. You'll find Raven Studio on Facebook.

Playing an acoustic set in a terraced or semi-detached setting is not cool unless you have permission from all of your neighbours.

Thats what I thought. I am against the logic of doing something just because i can. Thank you for the recommendation!
