Tomorrow is technically the start of autumn ;-)
And yes all brambles etc are turning yellow here, blackberries (poor crop but the few we have) are ripening already --- all a few weeks ahead of normal schedule. Presume its all due to leaf drop to protect the tree during the extreme heat we've had.

Where's the "technically" coming from that tomorrow is the start of Autumn (more like technically not)? The start of Autumn meteorologically is September 1st and astronomically, September 22nd or 23rd.

As I say every year, from a weather and purely temperature point of view it's ridiculous to consider August autumn. It's often the warmest month in Ireland so cannot be considered anything but summer.
