First fix repair question

    We haven't been contacted by IW regarding a leak, but during the recent dry period it has become apparent that there may be a leak of sorts in our front garden.

    There is a small patch of very bright green long grass on our lawn just outside the house, and I can't think of any other reason how this may have come about.

    Do we still qualify for the first fix scheme in this case, or do we need to engage the services of a private leak detection company?

    Our monthly usage for two adults is currently around 10k litres a month if that helps.

    Thank you for getting in touch.

    You can see more information about the First Fix scheme here.

    If you have an Irish Water meter installed on your property would you mind sending a PM with the following details:

    - Name;
    - Address; and
    - Contact number

    Thanks in advance,
    Agata

    Thanks, yes, I'd already read that page but it seems to be only for people that IW have contacted, hence my question. I'll PM you my details as requested.

    Hi

    Under the First Fix scheme is there an average waiting time between signing the consent form for the repair (after contractor investigated the leak) & the leak being repaired?

    In my case I signed the consent form 1 month ago but have not heard from the contractor yet?

    Thanks

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    This is determined on a case by case basis and there is no exact timeframe available.

    However, if you PM the following details, we can check the status of your repair:

    - Name;
    - Address;
    - Contact number; and
    - WPRN

    Thanks,
    Mairead
