Hi, looking for advice or info on camping in Europe. It's our first time with family, three kids, we are looking at Italy with eurocamp but very mixed reviews especially re accommodation, other sites like allcamp and canvas mention tourist tax but seam to offer better looking accommodation, but are expensive on the extras; cot and high chair free with eurocamp but not with others, just wondering if anyone has any advice or recommendations with what provider to use, thanks

Never had any major issue with Eurocamp accommodation in any site & have generally found them to be much cheaper than competitors.

Some of the accommodation units they offer are definitely starting to show their age. Wear & tear is to be expected but once they're clean and stuff works it shouldn't be a problem. It will all depend on how fussy you are and bearing in mind cost versus newness or extras.

Mosts sites will have accomodation you can book direct but booking with a company like Eurocamp is definitely easier.

We've done Italy, France & Holland with Eurocamp & wouldn't have a problem using them again.

just remember that those who post reviews are often the ones who feel motivated by a bad experience to post, and those who were happy often dont bother to share their views.

Best example was mentioned here a few weeks back where a cityjet regular flyer never ever posted how happy he was, until something went wrong and he posted a bad review (which started with the comment that he was with them loads of times and found them to be excellent!)
in the end, the 2 star review is what is counted against the airline, not the dozens of 5* experiences that the guy never bother submitting a review for !

As for the specific case, I'm in italy with the family with Eurocamp in a couple of weeks and also was a little concerned at some of the grumpy reviews, but even if it were a kip, we will spend so little time there compared to the pool that it actually isn't that big a problem

I've holidayed twice now with Irish operator KelAir, and would thoroughly recommend them.

Both were in Spanish campsites, with 3 kids.

we stayed at Bella Italia camp site last year with Eurocamp
No issue at all with them

    Great holiday
Nice big site, perfect for kids up to about 13/14
Local village is beautiful and lots to do with some nice restaurants
