Hi Guys - managed to buy this box and its en route

Im just wondering if anyone has any info on this model - i cant find a downloadable manual - and worse still i cant find any sites with firmware for this model

If anyone has any tips id appreciate it - manuals, firmware etc

It was a bargain so hard to resist for a dual boot linux box with 3 tuners - (2x DVB-S2 1x DVB-T2 -
    Thanks in advance

A quick google seems to indicate this is an old and underpowered box. Some mention of the company no longer supporting them and no updates. Unless you got it VERY cheap I'd send it back. You'll get a far better box around 100ish
Its possibly an amiko alien clone with similar processor and Spark/Enigma dual boot

    40euro!

WHen you say underpowered are you referring to this in terms of Processing power or actual Electricity -

I got this for a friend so im just going to try and set it up for him - i suppose im mainly looking for firmware that will work

Is there an Enigma2 site with supportable downloads (even if it is an older model)?

I guess i would be hoping someone has one and can give me some tips!

Doing some homework over night and found several small bits of info - OPENATV 6.0 is recommended for this box -

Im genuinely a novice when it comes to this so any help would be appreciated

Is there a forum (in english) for users of E2 and the like? Where i could possibly hunt down a functional E2 firmware that is usable?

450Mhz is slow by todays standards but will suffice for basic use. There are numerous flavours of enigma in general and then you need to find one for that specific hardware. I'm no expert by any means on these things, others may know a lot more about them. The only site I can think of right now that supported Spark/enigma on a 7162 processor is pkteam.pl

Appreciate the help - if anyone has any info please forward it on

Basic synopsis: Friend is on extreme tight budget (unemployed at present)
    -Cancelled Sky a while back
-currently using an early edition of Ariva Combo - (a loan from yours truely)

Anyway what im trying to aim for is:
    -Twin Tuner Satellite (check)
    -DVB-T2 for Saorview (Check)
    -PVR Functionality (check)
-Some sort of EPG data retrieval for both Sat and DVB-T

The Spark that comes with the box will just about cover the first 3 items but i want to see if i can get an enigma flavor working

there will be absolutely NO NEED FOR
    -On Demand Players
    -Youtube
    -Digital Teletext
