Radiator remains cold :-(

I haven't had my heating on for a few weeks but when I turned it on last night all of the radiators heated up except for one which remained completely cold :'(
The pipes going into the radiator were also cold.
I bled the radiator to let air out but unfortunately it hasn't fixed the problem.
Anyone got any advice...I would greatly appreciate it.
    x

Turn all the other rads off and see does it heat up,prob just airlocked.
When it heats up open the others back up again

Make sure all valves are open on the cold rad. Turn of some or maybe all of the working ones. If it heats then, then turn all on to see if it continues to heat, if not, you will need to balance them.

Please follow site and charter rules. "Resistance is futile"

    How do I 'balance' them?

same problem i had a couple of weeks ago the way i done it was to turn off all the radiators fully, bar the one that's not heating leave that fully turned on, see if that one gets hot, if it does then turn on all the radiators on but only turn them on a 1/4 turn, don't turn them fully on, the radiators will still get hot ,leave the problem one fully on,that worked for me, but someone on here might be able to advise a better way.

I have a similar problem; all the rads stay cold when the heating (idle for a few weeks) is switched on, for at least half an hour. The boiler is working perfectly, the pump (a Grundfoss) appears to be running yet the rads are stone cold despite me bleeding most of them. Any hints?

how do you know the pump is working

The pump is hot to the touch and feels as if it running, ie, slight vibration from it.

Before the rads heat up,does the boiler heat the hot water cylinder first. You can check the flow and return pipe to cylinder.what type of boiler, have you zones

The piping system is basic enough, with four valves in the hot press (old rotary type);cold water from tank in attic, main valve out from hot water tank, another valve on the hot water out line and one from the cold inward line. The hot water out line appears hot to the touch, which suggests to me that water is being heated and getting to the tank. Does that make sense?

Does the boiler require a certain pressure to operate? There should be a pressure gauge near the boiler (or in my case beside the hot water cylinder). Youtube is your friend for resetting the pressure into the boiler.

Mine needs 1.5-2 BAR and if the pressure into the boiler is below that it looks like everything is working but the radiators stay cold.
