budget 200 / 300 flexible on this

Have a look a the Sony Xperia XA2. My wife picked one up for about €210 on a Prime day deal, and it's a really nice compact (relatively) handset. Performance, camera, sound, build quality and battery life all really impressed me, for a midranger.

There's some talk of an XA3, so you might see it come down further in price.
