Hi! I would like to find out where the drinking water in my area comes from, whether it is fluoridated and if so at what concentrations, please. Who should I contact?

    It does help, thank you!

One more question though. How would I know if the fluoride in my water supply is naturally occurring or added by Irish Water?

    Hi inigo,

Fluoride can occur naturally in some water sources however it is mostly found in drinking water due to Fluoride being added as part of the treatment process.

Aall exceedances of flouride are reported to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and also the Health Service Executive (HSE) where necessary. Drinking water parameter exceedances are fully investigated to determine the cause and appropriate corrective actions are implemented.

You can read more on this by visiting here and choosing the "Drinking Water Parameters" section.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Amy
