Hello guys was wondering if anybody could assist me with this.

My mazda 6 which passed nct somehow earlier this month engine turns off when you hold the clutch in for too long or when the revs get below 1000. Now people have asked me if it's a start stop system but it's most definitely not😅😂

Any advice is appreciated thank you

Reprogramming the ECU might fix this if you changed the battery recently or if it died. There's a manual way of doing this pretty quickly. The way you do this is you disconnect the battery, then turn the key and push on the brake pedal a few times to drain the electronics of any residual charge, and wait for about 5-10 mins for good measure before reconnecting the battery.

After you reconnect the battery, turn on the engine, making sure none of the electronic accessories are running (i.e. internal lights, radio, fan, etc.). Make sure they're all off - and just let the car idle for about 25 mins. This will reprogram the ECU and will stop your car from cutting out. It takes about 40 engine on-off cycles for the ECU to fully reprogram itself, but this first step should fix any uneven RPM/cutting out issues.

You may also lose the automatic window open/close feature on the electric windows after disconnecting the battery. Re-enabling this is pretty straight forward - have a look on google for a how to.

    Hello,

Unfortunately that did not work.. Could it possibly be a faulty lambda sensor?

    Thank you!

I had a faulty lambda on my 2007 mazda 6 (previous model) a few years ago.
Symtoms were a very slight rise/fall in revs when idle and a big hesitation when accelerating in low gears. No error codes showing up.
