Just wondering out of interest in a 50/60km per hour area, what speed would constitute dangerous driving? And will GoSafe vans have you done for same?
Eg. if one was doing 80/100 in a 50/60 zone.

It's not based on what constitutes dangerous driving, it's breaking the limit so doing 80/100 in a 50/60 area would qualify and rightly so

Speeding fines are easy to avoid by not going over the limits

    Sorry for stating the obvious

Its very accurate if your doing 62 or 63 in a 60 zone you will get a fine and 3 points within 10 days or so.

That really depends on the circumstances. there usually needs to be someone else present for it to be considered dangerous driving.

Garda on Twitter indicate they will bring dangerous driving charges if doing 160 km/h in a 120 km/h zone.

I suspect 2km /h over the limit would be dismissed in the District Court.
