    Hi all,

Degiro openly advertise that if you refer a friend, you both get 20 euro. Recommended a friend and he set an account up, transfered funds, verified his identity, and do you think he got his 20 euro to spend? No. Have Googled this issue, and see no detail. Just wondering has anyone else been scammed by Degiro in the same manner?

It is very clear. Absolutely nowhere does it say either of you get 20 euro.

People are very easy to shout scam these days, when the only scam is their reading skills.

And if anybody is looking for a referral link....

Hi, I am nowadays investing at DEGIRO. I thought this would also be something for you. If you would become a client we both earn €20 in transaction credit. https://www.degiro.ie/member-get-member/receive-20-euros-and-start-trading.html?id=71B7D983&referral_name=Mark%20Howe

FYI, it appears your name is exposed in the referral link you posted. In case you wanted to stay anonymous, perhaps send the link via PM only.

A lot of brokers use these promotions to lock your account in with them, never take bonuses with a broker. If you read the terms and conditions there is usually a trading requirement or a volume requirement before you can withdraw, in which case they know statistically the longer an inexperienced trader trades, the more likely he is to lose all his money. It won't be because you have no experience, don't know what you're doing etc... it would be because improper risk management, emotions etc, a lot of challenges comes with trading so
