I have a third calf cow and something is not right with her. She was wrecked as a first calf heifer cow. Too big of a calf and the vet jacked the calf it should have been a section. I know its a hard call. Anyway she has slight prolapse since. She is three months incalf and she is passing a blood and slime from her vulva. She is healthy as could be. I cant get her in to get the vet to her. I should be able in about two weeks time when the rotation comes around again. Any suggestionswhats wrong. I am thinking it might be a tear inside or infection with files. Any ideas welcome

Not wanting to sound smart but if you can’t get her in for the vet now, what can you do for her in the field?

Two weeks is a long time if there is an infection or some such going on.

If it’s impossible so be it, but it may be too late.

I don’t like the fact Icant get near her to get the vet to check her. It’s far from ideal

If shes passing blood and slime theres a fair chance shes not in calf id say.
As long as shes eating, chewing her cud and in good form things arent too bad.

Finally got her in tonight. Got the vet out. A cyst growing inside her vulva looks a bit ugly. Nothing to be overly concerned about. Larry can have her in a few months time

The vet said no. The cyst is too to allow her to go in calf in the first place
