I see dunnes and marks are selling some items as s, m, l, xl as opppsed to 12, 14, 16 etc now.

I was going to order a skirt online but will have to make time to get it in store now as I don't know what size to buy.
Mark's has large as 'regular fit' 16-18 (ha ha!) and xl as 20-22.
I can fit into an 18 but not 16.
20 tends to be too big.
So no idea what will fit me.

Is it just a ploy to make less sizes?

Apparently numerical sizes hurt people's feelings and Penny's are switching from numbers to letters for all their clothing. I don't know if Dunnes are doing the same but from my experience it's usually used for clothes that need less tailoring. I'd get both and send one that doesn't suit back.

Oh ffs! What's wrong with people. Offence is meaningless.
Anyways, how can anyone be offended by the truth?!
I know I'm extra fat. I don't want to try and beat myself into a size 16 skirt!
There can be such a difference between 16 and 18. It's a joke.

It is becoming ridiculous. Medium is too small, Large is too big. I'm a medium and a half. 10 to 12 is too small, 14 to 16 is too big.. I want a 12 to 14. Actually I don't want to buy clothes at all, it is getting very stressful! And lets not even talk about H and M...... where the 16,s are tiny.......

Fashion is the second largest Polluting Industry in the world, the last thing we need is more sizes.. I would highly recommend watching "the true cost" documentary.., If you're that particular get your clothes tailored!

Oh this sizing thing has gone completely ridiculous. I'm a size 6-8. This used to be small, sometimes extra small. Now I seem to be a 2xs in Penneys. It's crazy.
