    Hi Guys,

thinking of pulling out and replacing our wood pellet boiler- prob with Oil (as anything else is too expensive).
Last winter we had issues all winter- it wouldn't cut in and had to manually turned on, sometimes wouldn't turn on at all...
Then when on for an hour it would turn itself off- can't find anyone to service/ fix it.
Has anyone taken there's out and what did you replace it with?

    Hi tommy

Ive replaced a good few old pellet boilers with oil condensing boilers.
People were having trouble like yourself or just no longer wanted the hassle of pellets.

With oil boilers being so convenient with just the flick of a switch or timeclock or via a mobile phone app things are very simple , all customers well happy !

What kind of setup have you ?
    Any pictures?

We might be able to advise you further.

    Hi Tech,

Our current pellet boiler is 40kw and is in the garage- it works by timer same as an oil boiler (i.e. timer and flick switch in utility room)- well when it was working properly...
Are oil condensing boilers - better than the regular ones?

Any advise appreciated - what would i be looking to have to spend on the switch do you have idea?

Condensing boilers are the only way to go !
Way more efficient than the older ones.
Grant vortex are the best on the market in my opinion.
Depends really on where the boiler would go , or if a lot of pipework needs altered.
Also need new bunded oil tank , concrete base for it and a few blocks and lintels.
Probably anywhere around 3500 - 5000 rough guide price !
    Where abouts are you ?

Carlow direction. Boiler will prob go in garage, it's a big garage- beside the gerkros. Can do all the concrete work myself. Thought it would of been a matter of pulling out one and putting the other in didn't think need new pipe work.

Hard to know without seeing it, few pics may help.
Possibly only minor alterations may be needed to circulating pump etc. Also need to run in new piping for oil feed to boiler and a condensate pipe out to drain.
You should get the system power flushed also before fitting the new boiler.
