Runners Knee

    Hi guys,

    Looking for some advice.

I am currently training for my first marathon in Dublin this October.
I have always been a runner, not overly committed but from time to time I enjoyed running.

However, I started to up my running this year in preparation for the marathon. My right knee has started clicking since January and can be a little uncomfortable when I'm sitting down. The problem has now moved to my left knee so I am quite concerned now.

I am ok when I'm running as I don't feel any pain but it is only after my runs that I feel some discomfort.

Is there any way to fix this or get some sort of physio work done to help it?

    Is it cartilage problems?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Cormac.

    Hi,

Medical advice is against forum charter.

I can only recommend gait analysis to ensure you're wearing the correct footwear to suit your gait. If doing so go to a reputable running shop.

Go see a physio/physical therapist and get properly checked out.
